A server is a computer system that serves a network of different computers. There are several types of servers, and the best known are these:

The file server is one that stores users’ files.

The dedicated server, that stores pages from certain sites, services are requested by customers via browsers. Browsers are Internet browsers and are also known as HTML pages. There is also the server web-mail , which allows the creation of e-mails on the web.

The fax server is a broadcast service, delivery, and acceptance of data through automated fax machines.

The print server is one that has the task of sending the print request from computer to printer.

The e-mail, as well as the other servers have the task of sending and receiving data store, this in turn works with mail messages.

Server virtualization allows you to create virtual machines, and sharing of data that increase energy efficiency without causing scratches or damage.

The server allows you to manipulate database information, and create entries. There is also the image server, a server type specific database for digital images.

The DNS server does the conversion of IP addresses for Web sites as well as the reverse process.

FTP server, allows access to a server or hard drive by several users.

There are servers and other national and international, both have advantages and disadvantages in its use, it is therefore depends on the requirement of user to choose one that best fits their needs. World Environment Day 5 june Happy World Environment DayHello Readers, today is “World Environment Day (June 5th)”. Here are some little things that we can do to save our environment that i got from UNEP:

• Plant a tree
• Close the tap while brushing your teeth
• Get a reusable container for your food if you are packing it from home to workplace
• Turn off all unnecessary lights and appliances
• Get a cloth bag and say no to plastic bag whenever you shop
• Save fuel, accelerate gradually
• Turn off your engine if you will be idling for long time
• For those who drink coffee every morning, get a washable mug instead of styrofoam or plastic cup
• Make sure your draft-paper is fully used before getting another new sheet (tree-saver)
• Organized carpooling with your co-workers
